So Much Yarn in Seattle, WA was packed with knitters when I was there. I bought two balls of Freia yarn after hearing about it on the Actually Knitting podcast.
When I got to Portland, OR I went to Yarnia for the cones of yarn to order.
After returning to Michigan, I went to the Yarn Garden shop in Charlotte where I bought a skein of Lang Jawool sock yarn, the Sock Ruler, two skeins of orange Cascade Roslyn yarn, and a little ceramic dish that looks like knit fabric by Charan Sachar.

Nature Spun sport weight is great for color work mittens.
Brittany size 2mm double pointed needles are bluntly beautiful.
Signature Arts needles are also beautiful she said pointedly.
I finished the Rose Red hat by Ysolda Teague with Brooklyn Tweed Loft yarn.
I’m working on toe up socks with KnitCircus Gradient Stripes yarn.
I recommend the LK150 mid-gauge knitting machine to beginners. Everyone should take Susan Guagliumi’s Craftsy class.
