What Would Ruthie Say?
I forgot to mention that Ruthie is my mother’s name! Ha! That would have been relevant. Ruthie would say “Use your library to save money!”

Acquisitions
I bought one skein of yarn from Three Waters Farm on Etsy. It is for the Knitgirllls KAL.
I mentioned these patterns:
Hummingbird socks by Sandi Rosner from the Knittter’s Book of Socks.
Morning Dove Shawlette by Pam Jemelian
Ardent by Janina Kallio
28’s Big Sister 77 by Lynne Ashton.
Hand Knitting
Paradoxical Mittens by Lucy Neatby
Opal Sock Yarn Bunny by Susan B. Anderson
No love on the Aranami shawl this month.
Machine Knitting
Spouse’s v-neck saddle-shoulder cardigan on the LK 150 machine. I used the Cochenille Garment Designer software to create the pattern.
I used Lopi yarn in color number 0052 (gray).
CSM socks for the nephew-in-law’s 50th birthday felted dramatically so he got a pair that I had made for the spouse that he hadn’t yet worn. I don’t think my nephew-in-law appreciated the socks but he was distracted so hopefully he will learn about the wonderfulness when he puts them on someday.
Resources
Craftsy classes consulted during the finishing of the gray cardigan - The Essential Guide to Finishing Hand Knits with Anne Hanson and Essential Techniques Every Knitter Should Know with Sally Melville.
Couture button sewing tutorial by the Knitmore Girls to sew on the buttons with backer buttons for stability.
Cochenille Garment Designer software used for creating the gray cardigan pattern.
One row buttonhole tutorial (I used Sally Melville’s description in the Knit Stitch book). Bing it for yourself!
