Acquisitions

I got a KR10 Knit Radar for Studio/Silver Reed machines. Susan G. made a video years ago all about the LK150 machine and in it, she also demonstrates a knit radar. I couldn’t find a link to the video it unfortunately.

Brother made an accessory to use on the machine bed that will link pieces together or bind off live stitches. It is a version of the big drum linkers. Here’s an image of one Brother Linker.

I bought a tilt stand for a knitting machine from Rocking Horse Farm.

I got some Palette and Wool of the Andes sport weight wool yarns from Knitpicks for some new projects.

Hand Knitting

I’m having yarn management issues knitting the Felted Clogs. I’m trying to use up all the Lion Brand Fisherman wool yarn without actually having to go buy more to finish.

I’m making a pair of Arch-Shaped Socks by Jen Showwalter of Mean Girl Design with Ambiente yarn. I’m certain that I won’t have enough to finish.

I started the Hue Shift Afghan which calls for Brava sport weight, an acrylic. I substituted the Wool of the Andes sport weight wool.

Machine Knitting

I made a  Hogwart’s scarf out of Vanna’s Choice yarn for a Halloween costume party across the street from our house.

The tuck stitch cotton dishcloth came out too small and too dense. I used the #30 pattern from Stitchworld, elongated over 50 needles and knit 176 rows of tuck.

I am working on a machine knit conversion for the Mitten Garland Advent Calendar and the 12 Days of Christmas Mitten Garland.

I like the looks of this dishcloth made with slipped stitches to make a herringbone pattern. Kitchen Dishcloth ~ Herringbone Linen By Joan Laws - a free pattern on Ravelry.
